The corporate-commercial and startup lawyer, Rosemond Phil-Othihiwa, has unveiled her latest book, Made for More: Unlocking Confidence, Conviction, and Clarity in Your Career. The book serves as a comprehensive guide for professionals looking to elevate their careers and maximise their potential.

Phil-Othihiwa shares practical strategies, personal experiences, and actionable insights aimed at helping professionals build confidence, develop a clear career vision, and cultivate resilience in their professional journeys.

With its mix of real-life experiences, mentorship lessons and career strategies, Made for More offers a roadmap for professionals seeking growth, clarity, and long-term success.

Speaking at the book launch, the author highlighted how her career struggles and growth journey shaped the book’s content.

“One of my biggest inspirations was my own experience navigating growth as a business professional and career woman. Many professionals struggle with unanswered questions when they lack the right support. I wrote this book to share my journey so others can learn from it and achieve results faster,” she said.

The book explores her early years of uncertainty about specialisation in law, the impact of mentorship, and the importance of discipline, diligence, and self-awareness in career development.

“Sometimes, what you need isn’t a new life, but a new perspective. You need the right environment, the right people, and the right mindset to remind you that you are made for more,” Phil-Othihiwa added.

While Made for More draws from Phil-Othihiwa’s experience in law, she emphasises that the book is not limited to legal professionals.

“This book is for every young professional questioning their next career move. The principles are universal discipline, diligence, and intentionality,” she explained.

In his keynote address, Lead Partner at Chaniel Legal Practitioners, Olatunde Adejuyigbe (SAN), underscored the importance of making intentional choices for career success.

“There is always a price to pay for success. It requires passion, persistence, resilience, and integrity. Too often, people approach opportunities only with the mindset of ‘What do I get from this?’ instead of focusing on the value they can create,” Adejuyigbe
