Expressing his happiness on his daughter’s glorious day, the bride’s father, Dr Oladiti, while speaking with PMNEWS after the ceremonies at the event, said: “I’m very happy giving my daughter out today in marriage. I have been marrying for my sons but today is the first time I will be giving out a daughter. I have only one daughter. I thank the Almighty Allah. I’m surprised by the way people came from far and near to rally round me. I’m indebted to them. May Allah reward them all.”

He advised the newlyweds to follow the footsteps of their parents hallmarked by tolerance, love and understanding.

“My wife and I never hit each other. I am not saying we don’t have quarrel, but we quarrel and we resolve. Nobody has ever come to our house to resolve any issue. We resolved all issues within ourselves. When we misunderstood ourselves, we apologized to each other and we let go, and that’s how we trained them because during the lifetime of my parents I never saw where they beat each other. When one was annoyed, the other would be quiet.

“God will guide them. Almighty Allah will direct them. Almighty Allah will provide for them and they will love each other more than how we the parents love them so that they can glue together.”

The very excited Dr Oladiti described his daughter as pious and beautiful within and without, adding that he would have loved to marry her if father could marry his daughter.

According to him, Aishah is “very amiable, very soft, easy, brilliant, very hardworking and prayerful”.

He commended Aishah’s strict compliance with the Islamic mode of dressing which he said his daughter saw as a way of obedience to Allah. He prayed for the success of her home and for her to be blessed with righteous children.
