Sunshine Stars and Sunshine Queens Football Club of Akure have emerged winners of both male and female categories of the 2024/25 Ondo State FA Cup.

The first match of the finals played on Sunday in Ondo town between Sunshine Queens and Onimarg FC of Akure ended 4-2 on penalties after playing 3-3 in the regulation time.

Also, Sunshine Stars defeated its U-19 team 4-3 after playing goalless in the regulation time of the final.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the four teams that played in the finals would represent the state at the President Federation Cup.

The Chairman of the Football Association, Otunba Sunday Dele-Ajayi, while speaking at the event, congratulated the four teams that played in the finals.
