Brazilian football legend Zico has backed Cristiano Ronaldo on his recent claim of being the greatest footballer ever.

Zico said the Portuguese star was right—not necessarily because of raw talent but because he was not born with the natural ability of other elite footballers.

According to him, Ronaldo had to work tirelessly to reach his current level, cementing his place as one of the greatest players of all time.

Ronaldo recently stated that no footballer, dead or alive, is better than him. He claimed to be the most complete player ever and the best the round-leather game has ever seen.

Speaking with his friend Edu Aguirre, Ronaldo rated himself above the likes of Lionel Messi, Diego Maradona, and Pelé.
