The Federal Government, through the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, has partnered with the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation to drive civil service reforms.

The collaboration formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding, aims to improve FMITI’s operational efficiency by leveraging technology and strengthening capacity development.

The partnership was sealed during FMITI’s retreat, which brought together key stakeholders from the public and private sectors, including members of the Central Delivery Coordinating Unit, Directors from various agencies, Heads of Agencies, and external consultants.

In a statement on Monday, the Executive Vice Chair of the Foundation, Mrs Ofovwe Aig-Imoukhuede emphasised the significance of the partnership.

“Having successfully facilitated the digitalization of the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, we are now bringing our support to FMITI because of the pivotal role it plays in the country’s socio-economic development,” she said.

The Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Dr Jumoke Oduwole, welcomed the partnership, expressing optimism about its impact on FMITI.

She noted the remarkable digital transformation achieved in the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation with the foundation’s support and expressed a strong desire to replicate that success.

Acknowledging the urgency of the initiative, Oduwole stressed that “time is of the essence,” citing the tight deadlines set by the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan 2025.

She reaffirmed her Ministry’s commitment to ensuring swift implementation of the reforms.
