Halogen Group, a leading security solutions provider, has emerged victorious at the first-ever Global Outstanding Security Performance Awards for 2024, making history as the only Nigerian company to win and the only organisation across all nominations to secure two prestigious awards in a single year.

According to a statement made available to The PUNCH on Sunday, the security firm’s training institute, Academy Halogen, was recognised as the Security Training Initiative of the Year.

The academy picked the award by surpassing strong competition from international organisations such as Everbridge (US), TAPA EMEA (Benelux Region), Gallagher Security (Australia), Baker Hughes (US), and Securitas Sicherheitsfachschule (Germany), among others.

Additionally, Halogen Group was awarded The Outstanding Contract Security Company (Guarding) of the Year, prevailing over global contenders like Executive Security Solutions (US), APS Group (India and South Asia), Manguard Plus (Ireland), FIRST Security (New Zealand), Peregrine Security (Southeast Asia), and First Response Group (United Kingdom).

The announcement was made during the inaugural Global OSPAs 2024 ceremony, held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, from the UK head office of the global organizing body.

Expressing his delight, the Group Chief Executive Officer of Halogen Group, Wale Olaoye, described the win as a milestone achievement, stating:
