The Christian Association of Nigeria has congratulated Bishop Wale Oke on his re-election as the National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria.

In a statement issued on Sunday, CAN President Archbishop Daniel Okoh, described Bishop Oke’s re-election during PFN’s 18th Biennial Conference in Abuja on February 11, 2025, as a testament to the confidence and trust vested in him by Pentecostal churches across the country.

“Bishop Oke has proven himself to be a humble and approachable leader—qualities I have personally observed and appreciated over the many years I have known him.

His tenure as the head of PFN has been marked by significant strides in uniting Pentecostal churches across Nigeria, promoting spiritual growth, and engaging in the national discourse on moral and ethical issues.

“His unwavering support as I serve as President of CAN has been invaluable, fostering a collaborative spirit that has strengthened our collective efforts.” Archbishop Okoh stated.

Looking ahead, Archbishop Okoh expressed optimism about PFN’s future under Bishop Oke’s continued leadership.

He emphasised the importance of advancing interfaith dialogue, promoting peace, and addressing social justice, education, and humanitarian concerns through the church’s initiatives.

“The Christian Association of Nigeria stands firmly behind Bishop Oke, recognising the importance of our partnership in addressing national challenges that affect Christians in the country.

“His re-election is timely, reaffirming our collective resolve to uphold Christian values in public life,” he added.

The CAN leader called on the Christian community in Nigeria to support Bishop Oke’s vision for a more united and impactful Christian presence, stating, “Let us support him with our prayers for wisdom, strength, and health as he embarks on this new term.”

He encouraged prayers for national peace and prosperity, stressing that unity and faith remain crucial in overcoming the country’s challenges.

Oke, the Presiding Bishop of The Sword of the Spirit Ministries, has led the PFN since 2021.
