Yul Edochie has triggered reactions after the sudden split between music icon Innocent 2Baba Idibia and his wife, actress Annie Idibia.

After the singer revealed the dissolution of their 13-year marriage, which resulted in two kids, 2Baba and Annie Idibia have been in the news a lot since Sunday, January 26.

Amid his ongoing conflict with his separated wife May Edochie, Yul Edochie had given marital advise on Saturday, January 25, prior to 2Baba’s statement.

In a message to his fans and followers, Yul urged them to leave a toxic marriage because it was often their only choice. To support his argument, the actor used the example of a woman who tragically suffered burns during a domestic argument.

Yul wrote in part “If your marriage is not working, let go. Let go, walk away. I saw the video of the lady that was burnt by her husband & it broke my heart.”

Yul recently shared a video of himself and his second wife Judy Austin. In the video’s caption, he asked his followers why they were trending alongside the Idibias. He wrote: “I just heard we’re trending again. Nigeria’s happiest couple. What have we done again?”
